DIN stands for “Deutsches Institut für Normung” meaning, “German Institute for Standardisation” and is widely specified throughout Europe.... Our most common request is for DIN approved copper tube terminals or cable lugs. Klauke DIN Series Lugs are to DIN46235 and Klauke DIN Series Butts are to DIN46267 part 1. DIN46239 refers to Aluminium Lugs and Bi-Metallic Ring Terminals and DIN46267 part 2 refers to Aluminium Through Connectors. These lugs and connectors are designed for non-tension connections of aluminium cables to DIN48201 part 1 and DIN EN 50182. Please note that it is the Klauke ranges that are approved to DIN in these sections.
