Connector Systems
A selection of electronic connectors for through-hole PCB connectors assembly, PCB tabs, board-to-board connectors, wire-to-board connectors and wire-to-wire connectors. We also supply and support JST’s recommended range of connector system tooling.:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
1. PCB Tab Connectors
These are flat metal connectors designed for printed circuit boards. They facilitate secure connections for external wiring, components, or mountings attaching directly to the PCB.
2. Wire-to-Board Connectors
Connectors that bridge wires directly to PCB mounted sockets. Common in modular assemblies and where detachable connections are needed.
3. Wire-to-Wire Connectors
These connectors provide secure termination between two separate cables or wires, allowing flexibility in wiring layout and system design.
4. Board-to-Board Connectors
Designed for direct interconnection between two PCBs, board-to-board connectors are used in compact assemblies, stackable modules, and where space is limited.
5. JST Connector Tooling Support
Cablectrix also supplies and supports the JST range of connector system tooling — crimp tools, extractors, insertion/ removal tools designed specifically to work with JST connector families.
6. Choosing the Right Connector System
- Match current, voltage, and environmental requirements to connector ratings
- Check whether you need removable / plug-in vs permanent soldered connections
- Consider space constraints—board mount, wire spacing, stacking etc.
- Ensure compatibility between connector, cable, and tooling (e.g. crimp or solder type)
- Think about maintenance and replacement parts—pins, housings, etc.
