Secondary retainer mountable 2.5mm pitch high box type, with 20.5mm mounting height. The housing has a locking device to securely hold the header, preventing accidental disconnection, because of external force that might result from the routing of wires or of vibration, inverse insertion and mating with incorrect circuit.
The PXA fully shrouded header provides the longer creepage distance and countermeasure for distorted extraction of connector.
A secondary retainer is optionally available. This retainer ensures that the contacts are fully seated and locked in the housing and prevents their accidental release. Installed after the contacts are inserted, the secondary retainer locks and secures the contacts. Retainer is designed to be common with XA connector and XM connector.
